Kyle Dunbar

Founder

DNBR Accounting & Consulting was founded with a simple mission: to help small business owners gain clarity and confidence in their financial systems. Throughout his career in accounting and financial reporting, the founder recognized that many business owners excel at running their businesses but often lack the financial systems needed to keep records organized and fully understand their financial performance.

After earning a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Sacred Heart University, he began building his career in accounting and financial analysis, gaining early experience supporting senior leadership with financial reporting used by the CEO, CFO, and business owners to evaluate company performance. Through financial reporting and analysis, he helped identify customer trends, revenue drivers, and opportunities to improve customer retention. This experience helped develop a strong understanding of how financial data supports real business decisions.

He later gained experience in corporate accounting and financial operations, including serving in an interim controller capacity while supporting the financial operations of a manufacturing facility. In this role, he worked closely with international teams, managed overhead and plant financial activity, and conducted financial analysis to identify operational inefficiencies. His work included inventory oversight, bill-of-material analysis, and researching pricing discrepancies that ultimately led to adjustments that improved financial performance.

Across both private and public-sector organizations, he has developed a strong foundation in financial reporting, accounting operations, internal controls, and financial system management. His work has included supporting audits, strengthening accounting processes, and collaborating with management teams to ensure financial data remains accurate and reliable.

Driven by a strong attention to detail and a passion for creating efficient financial systems, he founded DNBR Accounting & Consulting to help businesses organize their books, strengthen their financial processes, and gain clear insight into their financial performance. His approach focuses on simplifying financial management so business owners can focus on what they do best—running and growing their businesses.

A Connecticut native, he is passionate about supporting local businesses and providing reliable, personal accounting support. In a time where many accounting services are automated or impersonal, DNBR Accounting & Consulting emphasizes a client-focused approach that combines modern financial systems with accessible, relationship-driven service.
